HICKORY, NC, June 2, 2022 — The Chamber of Catawba County will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for Catawba Valley Healthcare, (CVH), scheduled Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at Hickory Clinic located at 327 1st Avenue NW in Hickory, North Carolina.
“In 2021, we rebranded from Catawba Valley Behavioral Healthcare to Catawba Valley Healthcare to incorporate the board of directors’ expanded mission to include primary care services, in addition to the brain health and social services we have offered for over 15 years. We recognize that the mind and body work together and must be treated together to achieve the best health outcomes,” says Deputy CEO Tim Lentz, who will transition to CEO in August as John Waters retires after 17 years of service.
CVH’s commitment to the community includes outpatient therapy, psychiatric treatment, peer support services, mobile crisis management, residential services, psychosocial rehabilitation, independent living, skills training, jail services, social services, and intensive team-based specialized case management and treatment.
The 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serves the general public and those with developmental and intellectual disabilities, those who are uninsured and underinsured, those who are homeless, those without documentation, and those who are incarcerated or recently incarcerated.
