2024 Connections Clubhouse Pottery Fundraiser
This Saturday December 7th!
Join us at Connections Clubhouse, 1679 Southwest Boulevard, Newton, NC 28658, on December 7th from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM for our annual fundraiser featuring handmade pottery.
Clubhouse fundraising has become increasingly critical for our programming during a time of economic uncertainty and changes in mental health services.
Founded in 1990, Connections Clubhouse is a day program aimed at aiding those living with symptoms of mental health/brain health in their recovery efforts. The Clubhouse provides a meaningful place to come and return to, opportunities for building relationships and participating in daily activities including employment and wellness.
Our program is part of Catawba Valley Healthcare, which provides ongoing community support for adults with mental illness. We provide services to over 50 Clubhouse members. Our program offers a work-ordered day that focuses on skill development, self-confidence, and relationship building. We assist participants with employment, education, socialization, and greater independent living.
Mental illness can be very disabling and can shatter lives. However, with the help of our community, the Connections program actively provides support for members to rebuild and reclaim their lives. Connections is a welcoming place where people are accepted and valued as individuals and not labeled by the stigmas sometimes associated with mental illness. Members gain the confidence and skills necessary to lead fulfilling lives of THEIR choice in the community.
