Catawba Valley Healthcare 20th Anniversary
Catawba Valley Healthcare is a non-profit, independent, community-based center that offers primary care, brain (mental) health, and social support based on a whole person healthcare model.

CVH Primary Care Clinic Welcomes New Patients in Valdese

Catawba Valley Healthcare’s new clinic in Valdese opened its doors in December and is off to a great start! This is CVH’s second primary care facility in North Carolina, allowing us to better meet the growing need for healthcare services in Burke County.

The Valdese clinic offers many of the same primary care services Catawba Valley Healthcare in Hickory is known for, including Primary Care, Brain Health/Mental Health Therapy services, and Psychiatric Medication Management. This location will also serve as a home base for our community-based services, including Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion (L.E.A.D.) and Mobile Crisis.

Meet the healthcare providers at our Valdese Clinic:

Shane Brown, FNP

My pursuit of medicine started with my desire to help others live their best lives. I have a passion for family medicine. My approach is patient-centered care. I work with the patient both individually and with an entire professional team to ensure my patients are getting the best “whole person” care possible so that they can be their healthiest self.”

Patients are more likely to be compliant with care if they understand the purpose of recommended treatments, they feel comfortable with following.

Cindy Berry, LPA-MS

“I am a strong believer in changing behavior and irrational thoughts to improve one’s mood, thinking, and overall quality of life. Empathizing with what someone is trying to cope with provides a window into their world that is unique to them. From there, the journey does not happen in isolation. With professional guidance, a whole network of resources including family, friends, and agencies come together.”

Please share the news with your family and friends. We are here whenever you need us!
